Housing
An ideal place to stay in Iowa City should be air-conditioned, within walking distance to the hospital and not cost more than $600 a month to rent. Satisfying all three criteria is difficult, so you should at least demand air-conditioning.
University Housing
Sadly, the U of I only owns a
handful of properties for visiting scholars. They are clean, air-conditioned, within easy walking distance and very reasonable too. Contact Gareth Smith
