Anatomy
Robert Morecraft PhD of the University of South Dakota ably assisted by Sue-Ann Thompson (professor emeritus University of Iowa) leads the charge for the first two weeks of the course.
The Head and Neck is divided in to 14 distinct regions for dissection and a thorough lecture precedes each practical component. During dissection students are assigned approximately two to a cadaver for the practical, however they are welcome to dissect after hours too. Better yet the gross anatomy staff are very accommodating and friendly keeping you focused on learning and carefree about everything else.

Cost
For 2008 is $1250. This includes all materials and equipment for the lab, but does not include housing or food. More expensive than last year your say? Indeed, the cost of using the anatomy facilities balloons each year and while we try to keeps costs low, sometimes we just have to pass on the love.Examinations

All materials and lecture notes are included in the fee, and students enjoy full medical library priviledges for the duration of the course. There are a limited number of computers for available in the deptartment for use and plenty more in the Hardin Library for the health sciences.
What to bring
- A laptop would be really handy as the digs where you are staying may not be thus equipped. Although the department has wireless access this tends to be very sketchy.
- Your favorite Anatomy text book.
- Light sweater, fleece for inside the conference room, it gets cold
